How We Got Started

Check out this great video about For the Luv of Paws (FLP).  It gives a history of how the rescue/sanctuary got started and what is involved in making it a continuing success.  It features some of our adoptable animals and volunteers.

Our Blessings are Overflowing

August 01, 2020

We recently had a fund-raising drive to purchase some raised dog beds for our older, arthritic dogs.  We also needed to have some medical bills paid.  As always, our supporters helped us and we were successful in being able to obtain 5 large and 8 extra large Karunda beds.  In addition, all the medical bills were paid.  We simply can't thank each and every one of you enough!

Good Things Come in Three's

August 01, 2020

Good things come in 3s! Seniors adopting seniors. Three 13 year old senior dogs adopted this year.

Cheyenne: After 13 years at the rescue, Cheyenne has a wonderful home. Suzanne is committed to giving her a loving home for the rest of her days, however long or short that may be, a quiet, peaceful home, soft beds, walks every day.  Cheyenne has also made a friend in Suzanne's cat.

Concord, 13, Cheyenne's brother, was adopted from FLP many years ago, came back to us this year when his owner had to go into a nursing home. He is now in another forever wonderful, loving home with an awesome couple who are thrilled to have a great senior dog.

Buck was adopted from FLP when he was six months old, 13 years ago, by husband and wife volunteers, Loren and Nancy. They both passed away and FLP took in all of their pets, 16 cats and 5 dogs, including Buck. After three years here at the rescue, Buck now has his second forever home with Pam.  A match made in Heaven.

Shout Out: Thank You to Safeway/Albertsons

July 01, 2020

This has been a tough four months in the U.S.A. - and will probably become even more difficult. It has also been difficult for most shelters/sanctuaries.   However, For the Luv of Paws was recently blessed to be awarded a $3,000. grant from the Safeway/Albertson's Company Foundation.  We are so grateful for this gift.  We also want to thank the public who donated to the Safeway/Albertsons fund for them to be able to provide this gift to us.

Rest assured it will be directly used to keep the 200+ animals at the sanctuary fed, loved and given any medical care needed.

THANK YOU!!
