How We Got Started

Check out this great video about For the Luv of Paws (FLP).  It gives a history of how the rescue/sanctuary got started and what is involved in making it a continuing success.  It features some of our adoptable animals and volunteers.

Recognition of a Wonderful Supporter & Volunteer

February 22, 2020

Butch Meriwether has been supporting For the Luv of Paws for years in so many ways.  He has attended multiple functions and taken photographs and written articles that have been published in the local newspaper.  He has also been instrumental in helping obtain dog and cat food for us from a major dog food company, and he and his wife Chris put on a huge Christmas light display at their home every year.  They invite the public to go out to their home to see the display and drop off a bag of dog/cat food or contribute financially.

No organization could ask for a better volunteer and supporter!  In recognition of his assistance, he was presented with a certificate of appreciation from Cherie DaLynn, Founder, with volunteers (left to right) Shirley, Butch, Cherie, Debbie and Mary.  Thank you Butch!!

Christmas Cheer Continues

January 19, 2020

Chris Marie, with four-legged family members and former residents of For The Luv of Paws, Mick Dundee (left) and Angel Marie, are thrilled about delivering the 2,299 pounds of dog and cat food, and $2,062 dollars to For The Luv of Paws.

Chris and her husband Butch Meriwether, who adopted Mick Dundee and Angel Marie from For the Luv of Paws, erect large Christmas displays on their 2.21-acre parcel of land. Visitors who drive out to see the displays in Golden Valley are generous by donating for their charity causes, which includes For the Luv of Paws.  Thank you to Chris and Butch!!
